Vonnegut/Kraft is the design studio founded by Katrina Vonnegut and Brian Kraft. Founded upon the ethos that beautiful, thoughtful and inventive design can elevate our collective human experience, the duo creates furniture, lighting, objects, and spaces with as astute attention to detail, craftsmanship, materiality, and sculptural form. Utilizing local and regional resources, the studio is dedicated to maintaining a balance between technological manufacturing techniques and hand-made craftsmanship. All pieces are either small editions or made to order and embrace the maker's hand as well as the intrinsic qualities of the materials used. Each piece is made by Vonnegut/Kraft in their upstate New York workshop or in collaboration with local small-scale fabricators.
